The Planet Sushi chain already operates in Paris and Miami and the stylish decor of this extensive terraced restaurant reflects the brand's glamorous heritage. The buzz around this brand new addition to the Ibiza sushi scene has been such that when they decided to stage a "soft launch" (ie open up without telling anybody) to test the hitchen, 250 people turned up. Dishes range from classic (black miso cod, sushi, sashimi, maki rolls) to fushion (tuna rocket salad rolls) and downright daring (fried spiced prawns with Redbull and vegetable jelly and smashed wasabi).
All of it is beautifully presented and presented at your table by beautiful people. Delivery by Smartcar to Ibiza Town area and boxes for the beach at the Blue Marlin mean that Planet Sushi's presence on the island is going to be far reaching, while the 22-hour opening times and a location to die for - right on the Pacha roundabout - are set to make this quite the meeting point.
