Cala Llenya, Ibiza Beaches, Spain
Nestled secretively on the island's East coast, you'd be forgiven
for thinking Cala Llenya is a private beach when you first stumble
across its high-class bathing charms. Flanked elegantly by both
terracotta cliffs and luxury villas, its lush sand lapels offer an
unhurried atmosphere whilst a few choice bars are on hand with hot
snacks and cooling refreshments. It's also a favoured barbeque spot
amongst locals.
Llenya's
wide bay gently slopes into the sea, offering shallow waters for young
children. This, along with the fact that it offers a quieter and more
relaxing atmosphere than many of its neighbouring resorts, has secured
its place as a firm favourite among families. The beach is
especially popular with local families who find it the perfect place
for a weekend barbecue. During the summer months the beach bars are an
ideal spot to relax over drinks and cocktails while enjoying the
peaceful surroundings. More active pursuits include windsurfing
and hiring pedaloes. Those wanting to get to know their surroundings a
little better can explore the winding woodland paths behind the beach. If
it's a little more hustle and bustle you're after, take the twice-daily
bus to the neighbouring resort of Santa Eulalia, which offers a wider
choice of bars, restaurants and water sports. A super choice for
families or clients looking for a relaxing atmosphere in a quieter
resort Cala'Llenya Hotel range. Follow the road to San Carlos and hang
a right after the church.
